) has launched a service to enhance the land remediation capability of its subsidiaries.
Balfour Beatty GeoEnvironmental will form part of the BBGE group of companies and extend its expertise by providing a new range of services in the expanding area of construction.

Graham Wren, executive director of BBGE, said: ‘We are launching Balfour Beatty GeoEnvironmental at a time when clients are increasingly looking to reduce their impact on the environment and control their costs. Our aim is to offer our clients integrated solutions in ground improvement, remediation and piling, which will deliver clear cost and project management benefits.’
The newly-formed business will be led by environmental expert Ian Gatenby, who has worked with companies including the London Development Agency, Network Rail and National Grid Properties.
