One of Hansen’s largest drive packages is being installed into an oilseed rape refinery in Poland. The geared unit, a QVRM4, with a drive ratio of 125:1, has 300KNm of torque, and once commissioned will work 24/7 on a large drum which combines Desolventiser, Toaster, Dryer and Cooler in one piece of plant. Oilseed rape is generally used in the food sector but Poland now has a growing interest in the production of bio-fuel from oilseed rape. This may lead to further business for Hansen
