New man at the top. Hyster appoints Managing Director.

Hans Seijger has been appointed managing director of Hyster Europe, Middle East and Africa. Mr. Seijger, previously Managing Director of DAF Trucks Deutschland, took up his new appointment on May 1st.

Commenting on Mr.Seijger’s appointment, Ralf Mock, Managing Director of Hyster’s parent company Nacco Materials Handling Group, said: “Hans’ very strong background in the commercial side of the automotive industry, where he worked in many different areas, has given him the experience he needs to take on the position of brand leader for Hyster Europe. We are extremely excited about the focus and the energy Hans is already bringing to his new role with us.”

Mr. Seijger, a Dutch national, was educated at the Polytechnic University, Enschede, Netherlands in Industrial Business Administration. He joined DAF Trucks NV in 1999, undertaking various roles with increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and international export before being appointed at the head of DAF Trucks in Germany. Prior to his appointment with the Dutch commercial vehicle giant Mr. Seijger had held a senior position with the Van Dam Group in Holland.
