INSTRON® ANNOUNCES IMPORTANT PRODUCT ENHANCEMENTS

Instron, a leading provider of testing equipment designed to evaluate mechanical properties of materials and components, enhances its 5800 Series with capabilities, performance, and reliability unmatched in the industry. As the gold standard for advanced materials testing, the 5800 Series delivers the highest level of flexibility and power. When configured with 32-bit LabVIEW™ software drivers, the 5800 system allows the user to develop complex testing sequences beyond the scope of standard software packages.

Important enhancements include a faster setup time and response to test control events. The advanced digital design of the 5800 controller allows synchronous data capture on all channels – up to 5 kHz – providing the best combination of accuracy, resolution and bandwidth for data acquisition available.

Powerful test control features, such as definable waveforms, auto-tuning and amplitude control, gives the sophisticated user the ability to easily meet the unique testing requirements of accurately evaluating the properties of new materials, components and devices. Customers can choose from two powerful software suites – Bluehill® for static and cyclic tests or FastTrack™ for complex sequence loading applications.
