(Abu Dhabi Transmission & Dispatch Company) for the delivering of a turnkey substation.

In addition to construction of the substation for the power supply on Saadiyat Island, the contract comprises engineering and commissioning. The substation is scheduled to go into operation by the end of 2008.

The infrastructure of the island, which has an area of about 27 square kilometres (10.5 square miles), is due to be fully developed by 2018 in what is currently one of the most important ongoing infrastructure projects in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with a total investment volume of about $27bn.

The three-phase development project will transform
