The Multiplex Degremont Joint Venture brings together Multiplex Engineering and the Australian branch of
The Project comprises the design, construction and operation of a 45 gigalitre per year desalination plant to be located in Kwinana, 25km south of
The project scope includes seawater intake, pre-treatment, reverse osmosis desalination, drinking water potabilisation and a pumping station. Multiplex will be responsible jointly with Degremont for the design and construction of the plant.
The plant, one of the largest water supply/treatment projects ever undertaken in Australia, is scheduled for completion by 30th April 2007, with potable water supplies being progressively delivered following commissioning in October 2006.
