Kvaerner cooks up $10 million paper deal
Norwegian engineering contractor Aker Kvaerner has received an order worth $10 million for delivery of a continuous cooking plant to an Indonesian pulp and paper mill.
The new cooking plant is scheduled to start up in the second quarter of 2007. It forms part of a modernisation project at the mill, using acacia as raw material. Aker Kvaerner says it will increase the pulp production by 1,650 tonnes per day.
Under the new contract, Kvaerner Pulping, part of the Aker Kvaerner group, will provide engineering, procurement and supervision services.
