Find out more about how Spirax Sarco delivered one of the biggest boiler house projects in the UK, on time and on budget, by ordering the new data sheet, “Spirax Sarco provides turnkey steam system for Europe’s largest printworks”.

The £1.4 million steam project was part of Polestar’s £100 million printing facility in Sheffield. Today it is still the largest printworks in Europe.

Spirax Sarco took just five months to build and get the boiler house fully operational. Spirax Sarco was also responsible for supplying steam distribution equipment throughout the 43,000m2 site. “The speed with which the [steam] project was done is outstanding,” said Mr. Richard Keane, Engineering and Project Manager at Polestar at the time. “Getting it done on time and within budget has been a huge achievement.”

The new data sheet should interest anyone wondering about how to tackle a major steam project. It explains the commitment and resources that enabled Spirax Sarco to provide everything, from planning, building, project management and equipment, right through to training Polestar’s staff in the new systems.
