The regional finalists in this year’s National Business Awards, sponsored by Orange, have been announced and Lichfield-based Lorien Engineering Solutions has been shortlisted as one of the top 10 in ‘The Orange Growth Strategy Award’ for the Midlands/Wales region.
The winners of the regional awards will be judged by a distinguished panel of business leaders and academics in June, with the winners announced at a gala dinner in Birmingham on 16 July 2009. Winners in each region automatically qualify as finalists for the UK-wide National programme where aligned categories exist.
Lorien has grown the company organically over recent years through a customer-centred approach and international expansion.
Year after year, clients – both national and international - gauge the firm’s performance against a range of key performance indicators, and ‘partnership approach’ and ‘quality of people’ regularly come out on top. Lorien’s repeat business rate for 2008/09 currently stands at 82 per cent.
Managing director Steve Slater said: “We’re delighted that the hard work and dedication of the Lorien team has been recognised through this award shortlist. It is a tough category and we’re up against some excellent businesses from across the region. To have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award is a real coup for the company.”
The National Business Awards Regional Programmes are the UK’s largest combined regional Awards programmes encompassing England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Commercial Success, Innovation & Ethics is the central theme of these Awards.
