MAG Industrial Automation Systems, which has European headquarters in Germany, recently acquired the ThyssenKrupp Technologies production plant in Kecskemét, Hungary. Financial details of the transaction were undisclosed.
The newly named MAG Hungary will support manufacturing of all the MAG brands, and according to a statement, will enable MAG to increase its sales, service and supply base in Eastern Europe.
‘With the additional resources, including sales and service capabilities, we will be able to operate much more effectively and flexibly in the region,’ said Markus Grob, president of MAG Europe.
