Materials handling specialist, Demag Cranes & Components Ltd, has received a significant order for electric chain hoists. The order for 124 hoists was placed by Stoke-on-Trent based distributor, Chains and Lifting Tackle (
Chains and Lifting Tackle’s Managing Director, Phil Wiggins, states that his company specified the Demag DC-COM models to meet his client’s exacting requirements.
“The Demag DC-COM hoists are based on the very latest technology and their duty rating outperforms other models in their class. Demag’s unparalleled reputation for quality and reliability was also an important factor in placing the order.”
The Demag DC-COM range has been developed to combine competitive pricing with simple commissioning, ease of operation and low maintenance. The two-speed hoists feature an ergonomic control pendant, with a fully adjustable cable, which allows the pendant to be positioned at a safe and comfortable height for the operator. Safe load handling is assured by the hoists’ single fall chain design. For ease of maintenance, the entire chain may be replaced without having to remove the motor or gear components. In addition, there is direct and simple access to all main inspection areas via a central service cover.
