New High Frequency, Low Loss Test Cables

Chelmsford, Essex, 4 September 2007. Midwest Microwave Limited, part of Emerson Connectivity Solutions, has announced the launch of its new range of test and measurement cable assemblies. Offering ultra low insertion loss with high frequency performance, the M42 and M52 series provide excellent cost effective solutions.
Featuring low insertion loss up to 26GHz**, and available terminated with N- Type, 7mm or SMA (including the new Johnson Quick Connect SMA) connectors, the range is designed to meet improved performance criteria over standard cables.
Featuring a solid PTFE dielectric, the M42 cable type is perfectly suited to moderate low loss applications where the cost/performance ratio is critical and high frequency operation is desired. The M52 cable type is designed with a wrapped PTFE foam tape for applications where low insertion loss is a priority and flexibility and phase stability may be desirable.
With a triple screen outer conductor, providing excellent phase and temperature stability, both cable versions are supplied with a rugged moulded boot and offer exceptional VSWR performance. The unique construction characteristics of these cables provide the highest phase stability available for loss and VSWR performance when exposed to flexing and varying temperatures.
