New power relay for large current switching applications

E-T-A Circuit Breakers, quality designer and manufacturer of a broad range of electro-mechanical and electronic products for circuit protection, has introduced a power relay designed for single-pole switching of loads in vehicle and watercraft applications. Suitable for use as a battery disconnect relay or for switching other high current circuits, the new E-T-A PR60 features a robust design, offers various mounting styles and has a high level of protection against water and dust ingression.

The rugged, mono-stable E-T-A PR60 Power Relay is available in ratings of 100A, 200A and 300A and can be specified for make- or break-contact application. It is designed to be bolted on the side of a structure as standard, but may be ordered instead to be bolted through a small or large foot mount. The body of the power relay protects against water and dust ingress to IP67. Optional suppressor diodes eliminate the risk of damage to control circuitry by back-emf voltage peaks when the relay coil is disconnected. An insulating barrier between the main terminals also protects against shorting when the cables are originally connected.

The wide variety of combinations of the different configurations and mounting methods makes the E-T-A PR60 suitable for a wide range of applications, including uses on commercial vehicles, heavy duty (military) vehicles, agricultural machinery, watercraft, motor homes and vehicles used in the construction industry.
