New third generation temperature transmitters from Endress+Hauser

Third generation temperature transmitters
The new Endress+Hauser TMT84 PROFIBUS® PA and TMT85 FOUNDATION FieldbusTM temperature head transmitters are now packed full of new features. They offer a dual sensor input for resistance thermometers and thermocouples and diagnostic functions such as sensor back-up, drift and corrosion detection. Their interface for plug-in display and the option for a screw or spring terminal allow for further versatility and ATEX and EEx approvals also make them suitable for demanding applications.

Ergonomically designed housings
The new line of ergonomically designed terminal heads offers the options of screw-in and hinged covers as well as an explosion-proof version. The robust aluminum housing offers high protection of the transmitter from external influences and even in extreme process conditions.

Cost-effective process display
The new TID10 plug-in display can be used in connection with the new third generation head transmitters. With user-friendly operation, they are real plug-and-play devices – you simply need to plug them onto the head transmitters and they will not only display measured values and measurement point identification, but also diagnostic information in the event of a fault in the measurement chain. Additionally, miniature switches on the back of the display enable hardware set-up such as PROFIBUS® device addresses or measured value simulation when using FOUNDATION FieldbusTM.
