REpower Systems and DOTI have signed a contract to supply and install six REpower 5M wind turbines at Germany's first offshore wind farm.

Alpha ventus, Germany's first offshore wind farm, came one step closer to reality this week as REpower Systems and Deutsche Offshore Testfeld und Infrastrukturgesellschaft (DOTI) signed a contract to supply and install six REpower 5M wind turbines at the site.

REpower has already successfully installed several of the REpower 5M turbines onshore and offshore, including two turbines in the Scottish North Sea and six at Thornton Bank, the first Belgian offshore wind farm.
