Pipeline protection
Densoclad 70 and 70S tapes have been used to wrap the 20km of pipeline at Stublach in Cheshire that is connecting natural gas storage cavities formed by the extraction of brine. Tape wrapping was carried out by Barrier Ltd before the pipework was sent to the site, where welded joints were subsequently wrapped by Entrepose and Murphys. The Densoclad PVCbacked tapes will provide long term corrosion protection in the saline environment, as well as resistance to damage by impact, poor backfill or ground conditions. Grade 70S has a stiffer PVC backing then 70.
