Prysmian is celebrating winning an EDF Energy Networks Supplier Award for Supply Chain Excellence. The award was presented by Chief Executive Officer of EDF Energy, Laurent Ferrari, at the EDF Energy Strategic Supplier Forum in recognition of continuous improvements and operational benefits realised.
Prysmian Director of Energy Business, Michael Simms said, “This is a prestigious award and one that reflects the efforts of everyone in the organisation associated with the delivery of the EDF Energy contracts, not just over the past 12 months but over the past five years. EDF Energy is one of Prysmian's largest and most diverse customers, so to be recognised in this way is a significant achievement.”
EDF Energy Head of Supply Chain Development & Head of Logistics, Chris Matthews added, “Prysmian has shown a continuing commitment to improving their supply chain effectiveness and by winning this award they have demonstrated their dedication to improving performance in this crucial area.”
The forum was attended by the EDF Networks Executive, as well as suppliers and contractors, with the purpose of sharing vision, mission and strategy. Suppliers were able to debate challenges and opportunities with the Executive, focusing on delivery of Networks’ strategy and ways to improve operational effectiveness and safety performance.
