Raytheon
Technical Services Company (RTSC) has been awarded a US Air Force contract to repair air traffic control radar system components worldwide. The contract is valued at $15.5 million for the initially contracted year and four option years.
RTSC will provide repair services, technical assistance and data in support of components applicable to the AN/TPN-19 and the AN/GPN-22 landing control centres for a one-year period. Additional options can be exercised to extend repair and field support services during the next four years. Work will be performed in Chula Vista, California, and at US Air Force installations worldwide.
The AN/TPN-19 and AN/GPN-22 radar systems were originally designed and built by Raytheon. The US Air Force has been using the forward-deployed, mobile AN/TPN-19 radar system to support on-going operations in Iraq.
Raytheon said the award is an opportunity to provide total life-cycle support and extend the operational lifespan of the Raytheon radar systems.
