Rittal’s latest rack extinguisher system Detection-Active (DET-AC) is designed to offer early detection of fire sources. DET-AC is equipped with a multi-stage smoke analysis extraction system, which triggers extinguisher actions if required thus providing direct fire protection for valuable hardware and data. The system continuously checks the air within the enclosure for smoke aerosols, if indicator 1 detects smoke, an alarm is triggered, if indicator 2 detects smoke, the fire is actively extinguished.
