The Rolls-Royce Trent 700 has won its first order for the recently launched Airbus A330-200 freighter through Guggenheim Aviation Partners (GAP), a subsidiary of Guggenheim Partners.
GAP has selected the engine for up to six aircraft in a deal worth around $200m to Rolls-Royce at list prices. Deliveries to the US-based cargo leasing specialist will start in 2010.
GAP customers will also be offered a Rolls-Royce TotalCare service package, under which Rolls-Royce takes full responsibility for engine maintenance.
