Schmersal to Offer Free Safety Seminars - Competence in Applying BS EN ISO 13849-1:2006

Now that BS EN ISO 13849-1:2006 has been released as a current British Standard, Schmersal is running a series of free specialist seminars that aim to give design engineers working on safety-related control systems for machines the competence required to apply the new standard. The seminar would also be of benefit to those involved in specifying the safety-related control systems of machines, as well as system integrators and managers of machine building operations.

The seminars will be held at Schmersal’s Malvern headquarters on Thursday 28th June and Tuesday 17th July, as well as Manchester on Tuesday 18th September and Reading on Tuesday 30th October. Further seminars will also be held on an on-going basis at venues including Milton Keynes in November.

Schmersal believes that this new standard is a manageable evolution from the existing well tried and proven process of BS EN 954-1:1997 and expects design engineers involved in safety-related control systems to find the seminars a practical means of gaining competence in the application of the new standard.

Individuals or companies wishing to apply for places on the seminars should visit www.schmersal.co.uk to download an information pack and booking form.
