RWE Innogy has increased its overall share in Explotaciones Eólicas de Aldehuelas to 45 per cent following the acquisition of a 23.75 per cent stake in the Spanish wind-farm operator.

has acquired a 23.75 per cent stake in the Spanish wind-farm operator, Explotaciones Eólicas de Aldehuelas.

This acquisition, made through RWE’s Spanish subsidiary Agrupació Energías Renovables (AERSA), increases its overall share of the company to 45 per cent.

Explotaciones Eólicas de Aldehuelas operates a wind farm with an installed capacity of 47.2MW in the Spanish province of Castile-Léon near the city of Soria.

The wind farm came on stream in 2005 and has since been supplying electricity to an equivalent of 30,000 households a year.
