Sprinting with Siemens

Slovenian Railways has placed an order worth €48m with Siemens Mobility for twelve Eurosprinter type locomotives.

The companies also signed a contract for an option of another eight locomotives.

Production of the locomotives will be carried out in Siemens’ Munich-Allach plant in Germany and in the plant operated by the Technical Service of Austrian Federal Railways in Linz.

The first of the locomotives is scheduled for delivery in April 2009.
