Boeing Business Jets has received a $153m order for a 787 VIP airplane from Hong Kong real estate tycoon Joseph Lau.

The order for a 787-8 VIP airplane brings the total number of Boeing business jets sold this year to eight airplanes.

Earlier this week, Boeing Business Jets announced it had secured seven new orders including six BBJs and one 787 VIP. With this new order, a total of seven 787 VIP jets have been ordered from Boeing.

The VIP-configured 787-8 offers 2,404 square feet of cabin space. The first commercial 787 Dreamliner is scheduled to roll out of the Everett, Washington, factory on July 8.
