View on demand panel session: What does AI mean for the future of engineering and engineers?
View this on-demand panel session with The Engineer, Dassault Systèmes, BAE Systems, Monolith AI, AMRC and others exploring what the rise of AI means for engineers
AI is currently dominating industry discussion, is at the heart of industry’s accelerating digital transformation and is widely anticipated to be one of the most transformative trends in manufacturing and engineering as more and more engineering and manufacturing organisations look at how they can integrate AI capabilities within their operations. Indeed according to The Engineer’s most recent Business Confidence survey (published in Dec 2024) 60 per cent of engineering organisations are either already using or planning on using AI within the next 12 months.
So what might the AI revolution mean for engineering and engineers? What new opportunities will it open up? What challenges does it present? And how can engineers ensure they are equipped to make the best possible use of these powerful new tools?
This panel session - which was run in partnership with Dassault Systèmes as part of a dedicated week-long programme of AI-focused activity on The Engineer - brings together a group of experts from across industry (including independent experts as well as suppliers and users of AI technology) to explore these issues, examine real- life engineering applications of AI and offer practical advice on how engineers can ensure they aren’t left behind.
