Mouser Electronics is stocking the CoolMOS P7 800V MOSFETs from Infineon Technologies. The new product range, Infineon’s latest offering in superjunction technologies, is suitable for low-power switch mode power supply (SMPS) applications. The CoolMOS P7 devices meet market needs for performance, ease-of-use and price-to-performance ratio, and focus on flyback applications such as adapter and charger, LED driver, audio SMPS, AUX and industrial power.

Infineon’s CoolMOS P7 MOSFETs, now available only from Mouser Electronics, offer up to 0.6 percent efficiency gain and 2 to 8KC lower MOSFET temperature compared to similar parts tested in typical flyback applications. The CoolMOS P7 family achieves this performance by reducing Eoss and Qg by over 50 percent, as well as reductions in Ciss and Coss. The devices also enable higher power density in designs through lower switching losses and exceptional RDS(ON). Overall, the CoolMOS P7 family helps designers save BOM costs and reduce assembly efforts.

The CoolMOS P7 devices integrate a Zener diode to significantly improve electrostatic discharge (ESD) ruggedness protection up to Class 2 (HBM), which helps reduce ESD-related production yield losses. The devices are easy to drive and to design-in due to best-in-class gate threshold voltage of 3V and the smallest gate threshold voltage variation of only ± 0.5V. Mouser is now stocking the 800V CoolMOS P7 devices in an assortment of packages with on-resistances of 280, 450, 1400, and 4500 mOhms to fully address target applications.
