The following report is an example of the process of designing a silo, exclusively using the capabilities of the Anton Paar powder shear cell, applying the design principles spearheaded by Andrew Jenike.
It will give an impression of the steps and measurements necessary to construct and maintain a mass flow silo. This process can also be done in reverse to make sure an existing silo is appropriate for different bulk solids.
