For the packaging industry, in particular, Megadyne is able to offer new types of covers for machines carrying out transport of products, or the packaging of the same: these innovative covers are called Bluegrip, TNX and Redgrip and since they are produced together with the belt, they completely eliminate any problems of detachment. These covers have been developed with three different hardness, thus ensuring perfect grip and optimum performance for any type of application.
Bluegrip and TNX covers are based on a natural rubber mixture which enables to have high abrasion resistance and a good resistance to lubricating oils. The peculiarity of these belts is that they are made with the 'one shot' technique , which allows to produce the cover and the belt body in one single step. This allows to have a rubber belt with a glass fiber traction cable, and polyamide coating on the teeth, which lends resistance and low wear, together with a cover with optimum friction coefficient, silicone absence and non-marking. Belts with Bluegrip coating are also particularly suitable for applications in humid environments, where the friction coefficient is reduced.
Red Grip covers, on the other hand, are designed for the use on polyurethane closed belts, are based on a hybrid compound of synthetic rubber and polyurethane, and are extruded on the body of the belt, thus avoiding further loss of time for gluing process. This production method ensures a better hold of the cover itself, high resistance to abrasion and oils and consequently a longer life.
