Density measurement in hospital pharmacies

Density measurement in hospital pharmacies

Density measurement is a powerful and important method to ensure in-process control (IPC) and quality control of final products in pharmaceutical production facilities or, more specific, in a hospital pharmacy’s daily routine.

Infusions are widely used in hospitals, and it is of great importance for hospital pharmacies on-site to ensure that ingredients are properly weighed in, stock solutions are diluted correctly, or that already mixed infusions have been concentrated accurately. Density measurement is well suited for this and more, e.g. verifying the purity of raw materials or the alcohol content of disinfectants.
