Syringe Barrels

Optimum Syringe Barrels provide much faster, more accurate deposits than cheaper alternatives. They are designed using computational fluid dynamics to achieve a smooth, unimpeded flow without fluid turbulence or dead zones, which could trap air. They incorporate a tapered internal luer which minimises fluid shear during both dispensing and filling.

Pistons

Optimum SmoothFlow Pistons are designed to fit the EFD Syringe Barrels. This design element prevents blow-by for consistent clean wiping, or in some cases, allowing air to escape to stop bubbles.

These precision moulded channels actively reduce air entrapment as the piston travels down the syringe barrel. In addition, double-wiping edges drag along the walls providing consistent and efficient full-to-empty dispensing, leaving virtually no fluid left behind.
