Who are you, what is your job role and what do you do?
My name is Noura, and I am a Senior Process Improvement Engineer at Renishaw. In my role, I focus on enhancing manufacturing processes to increase yield and reduce scrap and waste costs. This involves a combination of structured problem-solving techniques and the principles of lean manufacturing.
On a daily basis, I analyse potential root causes of issues encountered on the production line and implement corrective actions to address them. My work is crucial in ensuring that our manufacturing processes are as efficient and cost-effective as possible. By identifying inefficiencies and developing solutions, I help the company maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
Additionally, I collaborate with various teams (e.g. design, project, electronics, production) to drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that we are always striving for better performance and reduced waste. My role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work well under pressure to meet production targets and deadlines.
