ILFC orders Dreamliners

Aircraft leasing and remarketing company International Lease Finance Corp (ILFC) has finalised orders worth around $8.8bn with Boeing for 63 Dreamliners.

ILFC will expand its fleet with a new order for 50 additional 787 Dreamliners. ILFC will take delivery of its first 787 Dreamliner in 2010, with additional aircraft arriving through 2017. Today’s order includes 10 Next-Generation 737s, to be delivered through 2012.

Boeing and ILFC also disclosed an order booked earlier this year exercising options for two 787-8 Dreamliners and one 777-300ER (ExtendedRange) for delivery in early 2009.

With today’s announcement, ILFC becomes the largest customer of the 787 Dreamliner to date, with 74 aircraft on order – 73 787-8s and one 787-9.
