Maybe it’s the risk that’s the buzz

More than 30 years after man walked on the moon, space travel is still a risky business.

Julia Pierce’s interview with Buzz Aldrin (Still buzzing) was very timely, given the current uncertainty surrounding the future of the space shuttle missions.

I couldn’t help thinking that if Aldrin, Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and the other astronauts that followed them had thought too hard about the safety of the space vehicle that would take them to the Moon, they would never have got on board.

So more than 30 years later, space travel is still a risky business.
