Environmental engineering company and water expert MWH has a new addition to its Pipeline Engineering Team.

Paul Davis, 37, who will be based at MWH’s High Wycombe office, has been appointed as Principal Pipelines Engineer. He has worked in Australia since 2000 and joins MWH from AECOM Australia.

Paul joins MWH to bring expertise in the areas of pipeline condition assessment, non-destructive testing, service life prediction and asset management.

He said: “I am extremely pleased to join MWH at such an exciting time and I am greatly looking forward to developing the business, particularly in the areas of pipeline condition assessment and asset management.”

Commenting on Paul’s appointment MWH’s Pipeline Engineering Knowledge Leader Sandra Rolfe-Dickinson said: “I am very happy to welcome Paul to the team. His skills will complement our existing areas of expertise, but also add his own specialisms, which he had brought to bear on his previous work on metallic, cement-based and plastic pipelines.”

Paul is the author of two recently published reports for the American Water Works Association Research Foundation, addressing long-term performance prediction of PVC and polyethylene pipes. These reports are currently being used by international water companies in the USA and Australia to assist with asset management of their PVC and polyethylene water pipelines.
