3D printed and laser cut parts are components usually associated with professional manufacturing, but for one group of youngsters they formed an integral part of their entry into this year’s High School Innovation Challenge.
Run by Northrop Grumman as part of National Engineers Week, the annual challenge required students to design and build a renewable-energy-powered model vehicle that could carry a payload as efficiently as possible over a set distance.
