Last week’s poll: Air pollution in the UK

With ClientEarth threatening legal action against the government on air pollution, we asked for your opinions on how to alleviate the problem blighting our towns and cities.

Just over half of respondents to our poll (52%) thought increased investment in low carbon transport would be the best approach, and just under a fifth (19%) agreed that there should be a blanket ban on diesel vehicles in city centres.

Of the remaining 29%, 15% didn’t agree with any of the four options given, 8% said continue with current policy, and 6% agreed that congestion charge zones should be extended.
