MICROMECH
Micromech is involved in a university collaboration to develop a machine tool capable
of attaining 50nm accuracy with staggering 5nm repeatability. In addition, it aims to make that machine perhaps one-tenth the size of anything before and at one-tenth of the price. It had to remain suitable for mass production of microcomponents for use within small and medium enterprises in the manufacturing sector.
