Video of the week: CO2 scrubber wins Shell award

University of Leeds spin-out firm C-Capture has won the £150,000 Shell Springboard award, a prize established by oil and gas giant Shell to support low-carbon technology innovation.

The technology removes CO2 from different industrial gas streams and enables biomethane to be used for more efficient renewable electricity generation, or as a fuel.

Other prize-winners at the event included Tom Robinson from Adaptavate, who won £25k young entrepreneur of the year award for Breathaboard, a bio-based building product made of 75% plant matter.
