Shell’s Eco-marathon events have been taking place for over 30 years, and this summer sees the European leg coming to London for the first time. The student competition is the centrepiece of Make the Future London, a festival focusing on solving the energy challenges of today and tomorrow.

Countdown’s Rachel Riley and The Last Leg’s Alex Brooker went behind the scenes at universities across the country to see how some of the teams are shaping up.
