The US Army Space and Missile Defense Command in Huntsville, Alabama has placed a $22.9m order with FLIR Systems for its Star SAFIRE III stabilised multi sensor systems.
This is the first delivery order under a $77.9m indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract that was recently awarded to FLIR.
Units delivered under the contract will support ongoing US Army and Marine Corps programs.
Work on the delivery order will begin immediately at FLIR’s Portland, Oregon production plant.
