ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, will supply Akzo Nobel with a batch control system for the production of cellulose derivatives at its operation in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden.
The batch control system, which is based on ABB’s automation system 800xA, forms part of a major investment project to improve productivity, and involves the installation of a new reactor, upgrade of joint production equipment, and safety classification of parts of the production facilities.
