AMEC awarded £100 million

AMEC, the international project management and services company, has been awarded contracts worth £100 million by leading chemical companies Innovene and Huntsman Petrochemicals.

Innovene, one of the world's five largest chemical companies, has awarded AMEC a five year management contract to undertake all cycle-ending plant overhauls at its Grangemouth facility in Scotland.

Work begins immediately and involves planning, preparation, supply chain management and project implementation of the overhauls across the entire complex. The award follows the successful completion of several major overhauls for Innovene over the last three years.

On Teesside, AMEC has been awarded a four-year contract by Huntsman Chemicals to undertake overhauls of its Aromatics, Ethylene, Polyurethane and Paraxylene plants. AMEC will plan, prepare, manage the supply chain and manage the implementation.
