Award winning innovation from Autoflame Engineering

Autoflame Engineering Ltd, a London based family owned company has been bestowed with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of Innovation, one of the most coveted awards in UK industry. The awards are made by the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister, assisted by an Advisory Committee and recognise the winners as being amongst the most successful companies in the United Kingdom.

Autoflame Engineering Ltd specialises in providing combustion management solutions for boilers and burners in the commercial and industrial markets.

The company, established in 1972, was the first in the world to design boiler/burner control devices based on microprocessor technology, a divergence which revolutionised the industry and led to massive savings in fuel and significant reductions in the emission of harmful gases, long before reducing the worlds carbon footprint became the political focus it is today.

The Award recognises the outstanding innovation of the Mk6 Evolution Micromodulation processor with Water Level Control which is used to maximise efficiency and the safe operating of burners and boilers. The innovative mix of electronic hardware design and software algorithms combined with Autoflame’s wealth of experience in managing boiler systems has resulted in a unit that significantly reduces fuel consumption when burning any type of fuel and also cuts emission of toxic greenhouse gases.
