Nu-way Adds Spice to Food Manufacturer

Droitwich based combustion specialist Nu-way has supplied specialist burner equipment to a leading food manufacture company.

A Nu-way XGN 2100 modulating burner complete with variable speed drive on the combustion fan, has been installed at The Authentic Food Company’s facility in Manchester to replace existing plant.  The burner is fitted into a 2,000 kg / hour Byworth Yorkshireman 2 boiler and is being used to create steam for various cooking processes taking place at the site.

The Yorkshireman 2 is a new model for Byworth, which the company says has the highest fuel efficiency rating for its type and in conjunction with the Nu-way burner, will provide savings on the Authentic Food Company’s energy usage and in turn, running costs.

James Sopwith, managing director for Nu-way, said:  “The Nu-way burner was chosen for this project as it provides an excellent match to the Byworth boiler, specifically to ensure the high level of control needed to keep the steam requirement on track.
