The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) has awarded the first accreditation for Offshore Verification Services, ‘Type A’ ISO/IEC 17020,to Bureau Veritas.

The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) has awarded the first accreditation for Offshore Verification Services, ‘Type A’ ISO/IEC 17020, to Bureau Veritas. ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation is the internationallyrecognised standard for the competence of inspection bodies, covering Design Examination and Verification, Onshore and Shop Examination, Transport and Logistics In-service Inspection and Offshore Verification. The award marks the end of nearly two years’ work. This included improving the technical content of Bureau Veritas’ local quality system in the oil and gas industry to meet the stringent requirements of the new standard.
