The contracts were awarded by Mexican company Cementos Cruz Azul and the German firm Polysius, which have overall responsibility for constructing the cement plant in the state of
Under the contracts, ABB will build an air-insulated substation and a transmission line of 400 kV, and a 400 kV and 100 MVA gas-insulated substation.
According to ABB, the gas-insulated substation can step up output as the plant’s production needs increase, which will ensure that the customer has a reliable power supply for further expansion of the plant.
