Comprehensive package allows for sophisticated room-booking

23 February 2007 - A sophisticated room booking software system can now be conveniently displayed onto an LCD screen thanks to ONELAN’s Digital Signage players. This allows for timed, comprehensive and tailored information to effectively direct visitors and customers on arrival in corporate foyers, at conferences or exhibitions, at gyms, museums, hotels etc.

Cabs Chamberlain, a computer-aided room booking software, was developed by Business Careware Limited to manage any bookable space, including meeting rooms, car parking spaces, a mooring on a marina, staff lockers, and restaurant bookings. The company is currently announcing the release of the latest Cabs Chamberlain package Version 5, that offers improved overall functionality and ease-of-use.

The software can now be used in conjunction with ONELAN’s latest Net-Top-Box 3000 series to allow for completely customisable on-screen displays that can include – alongside the room booking (or other) summary - company logos, freeview TV, ticker tape news from the Internet as well as the current time and weather forecast if so desired. The NTB boxes can be networked to serve numerous screens, but controlled centrally.
