Low cost Digital Signage from Onelan drives into Mass Transit market

April 2007 - The new NTB (Net-Top-Box) 115 from specialist Digital Signage ONELAN, is being accepted into mass transit markets, such as buses and trams. The NTB115 has a 12V power input that simplifies integration into mobile applications. It can also be used with wireless connectivity to enable media update schemes when buses are in a depot over-night.

Based on a 1GHz VIA C3 processor and retailing at just £1395, ONELAN’s NTB115 provides DVD-quality video on any plasma, LCD or display screen plus a wide selection of free-to-air news channels for information display. Other markets include large organisations such as hospitals, schools, corporate buildings, restaurants and hotels. ONELAN’s NTBs accept a wide range of video, animation, stills, audio and text media from sources including disc, Ethernet, Internet and TV aerial.

Comments David Dalzell, ONELAN’s Managing Director: “On buses, trams and trains people need to be informed about safety issues and procedures. Moreover, when travelling, they are a captive audience which may benefit from other messages. Our Net-Top-Box is the easiest and most-effective way of delivering the right message, to the right person at the right time. We provide full training and technical support, and the boxes are very user-friendly and easy-to-use.”
