To minimise stacking height in mobile devices, GTK is launching Microstak, a miniature plug-and-socket SMT connector for interfacing stacked PCBs in mobile phone handsets, notebook PCs, PDAs, pagers and other small mobile devices. With a pitch size of 0.8mm, devices offer three socket options - 3.55, 5.05, and 6.05mm. Microstak connectors include board location pegs to assist positioning by automated pick-and-place machines.
