ESR Technology recruits leading oil and gas safety expert

Warrington, UK. ESR Technology, one of the industry’s leading engineering, safety and risk management consultancies, today announced the appointment of Martyn Foote as General Manager of its Aberdeen operation.

Known in the oil and gas industry as a leading authority on health and safety issues, Martyn joins ESR Technology at a time of strong growth for the company. He will be responsible for the day to day management of the company’s Aberdeen team and the successful delivery of safety consultancy services to clients in the region.

Martyn began his career with the Royal Navy, serving 12 years as a Marine Engineer before moving into the oil and gas industry in 1985 as a Maintenance Superintendant at Transworld Drilling. He later transferred to production operations with Texaco and was working on a platform neighbouring Piper Alpha on the night of the disaster. This experience was a key factor in his drive to improve health and safety procedures and training globally.
